Serving Parishioners

Caritas

The St. Barnabas' Caritas Team is formed to do neighborly acts of love within the parish. Caritas Team ministries include taking meals to parishioners, giving rides for parishioners to church and to doctor appointments, and sending cards on special occasions.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors

Licensed team members may take Holy Communion to people in their homes as Lay Eucharistic Visitors. (This ministry is suspended during the pandemic.)

Prayer Chain

Caritas also includes a group of people who can be called upon for urgent prayer requests. The Parish Administrator can inform the Caritas team when need for one of these ministries comes up.
